- 05:26:54: i'm awake already but not out of bed yet. gotta get ready for today's convention
- 10:23:07: still at the business mtg of the Lions Convention. made a report for the Eye Bank--this year i was the only one to report clubs' donations
- 10:25:19: i.e. donations to the Eye Bank from the 7 zones of Dist 13-J, none of the other zone reps reported their clubs' donations
- 10:26:40: we had a contested election for 1st Vice Dist Governor
- 10:27:59: now elections are over, we've got Gov, 1st & 2nd Vice elected
- 10:32:23: biz mtg over, 15 minutes till lunch banquet
- 12:44:32: lunch was good, now we're sitting thru an interminable number of awards presentations
- 12:56:32: nope, so far i haven't got an award
- 15:09:54: ran home to bathe and change clothes, now i'm back in time for a conference w/international officers
- 16:06:55: nothing to do but shmooze until the banquet at 6p
- 16:08:47: just heard a presentation fron Honor Flight, an org that flies WW2 vets to the WW2 memorial for free
- 18:32:22: time for the keynote speaker, PID Dana Biggs. i'm still eating pie
- 18:37:31: table favors are a little pack of these gummi frogs http://twitpic.com/1i6wh4
- 19:03:05: snuck out during further awards presentations for a smokes
- 19:08:40: before dinner, part of the opening ceremony was a group sing of god bless america. i declined to participate
- 21:28:38: convention ended around 920p, i hung around for a little while, then went home at 10p
